Driven by a deep love for fine art and a desire to create pieces that feel deeply personal, Beyond the Hill is an illustration project dedicated to capturing the distinct soul, history, and vibrant character of Ireland's landmarks. Grounded in a formal foundation built at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD), graduating back in 2004, the work blends technical precision with a warm sense of nostalgia and shared connection.

Whether sketching familiar, deeply rooted scenes around the local Wexford area or iconic historical structures across the country, each piece is really about celebrating the little shared memories that make a place feel like home. Ultimately, these digital illustrations are drawn from the heart to bring a genuine smile to your face, uncovering the unique "personality" of our landscape and heritage in a way that feels instantly familiar and comforting.
